On Saturday the 13th January 2007, at about ten minutes past 11 PM, two doorman were shot in Cable street outside the Fox and Goose pub.
A local policeman who was off duty and inside the Fox And Goose at the time took charge of the situation and called for backup, two police vans and an ambulance arrived shortly after.
At 11:30 a Police officer visited the Ship And Anchor public house opposite the Fox and Goose to look for any witnesses.
Cable street was cordoned off and customers of the Ship And Anchor had to leave using the back entrance so as to avoid the crime scene..
One of the victims was visibly bleeding from the torso while lying on the pavement near the entrance to the Fox and Goose pub, the other had been shot in the leg.
Quite a few people came out of the surrounding pubs to see what was going on to find themselves having to stay outside until the police had asked them if they'd seen anything.
The perpetrators left by car, witnesses were later giving descriptions of a vehicle to police.
